Leadership of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN has congratulated Elder Illiya Bekyu Akweh as the new Chief Press Secretary to Governor Darius Ishaku.

In a Congratulatory letter signed by it's Deputy National President Abubakar Sadiq Moyoyo says the appointment is well deserved and will no doubt reposition the act of reportage at the Government House Jalingo.

It says the CPS. who is a seasoned broadcast Journalist spanning for decades  of meritorious service has contributed immeasurably to the progress of Journalism Profession within and outside the State.

The Statement advises Illiya Akweh to operate an open door policy where Journalists can freely interact,exchange ideas for the interest of rapid socio economic and Political development of the State and Nigeria.

It prayed God to grant him good health,knowledge and Strength to carry out his duties diligently.
