More than 585 women and youths of Taraba state have received monetary loans as the Taraba state branch of Nigerian National directorate of employment (NDE) in collaboration with the federal ministry of power  disbursed loans, on Friday.


This was done through an initiative called Micro enterprise enhancement scheme (MEES), which is aimed at providing employment to the women and youth of Taraba state.


It was gathered by our reporter that ₦10,000 was given to each of the 584 beneficiaries to  start up a business which is to be repaid after 6months.


We further gathered that the beneficiaries are to report back to the NDE about their businesses in order to get approved for the second phase of the loan. 

Excited by the kind gesture, the beneficiaries expressed gratitude and promised to repair the money within the given time frame.
