Armaya’u Abubakar Dauda, the former Deputy Governor of Taraba State, is the current Federal Commissioner at Federal Character Commission, He recently visited the Jalingo Office where he interfaced with staff and later met with leaders of Lassandi Community where the Jalingo Office is cited, calling on them to ensure that they safeguard the facility, He thereafter had a chat with newsmen, stating that injustice is the reason for agitation for division of Nigeria. You just met with staff of the Character Commission and the leaders of Lassandi community, what is the outcome of your meeting.

I thank God that we met and the meeting was successful and fruitful. I decided to meet with members of the community so that they will not feel relegated to the background, we rubbed minds on the need for them to protect our edifice, which is sited in their community, I promised to employ 2 to 3 of their youths for them to feel belonging to the Commission so that they will not see us as enemies but partners in progress.
 

In the past, there was report of vandalism of our office by the members of the community, so since I resumed office, I felt I should meet with them to explain certain things to them, I urged them to protect and secure our office, in case of fire incident or anything of that nature and I am happy they promised me that our edifice has henceforth becomes their property.

For my staff, we cross-fertilized ideas with them on the activities of the Commission, ranging from discipline, promotion issues and lots more, and I thank God we understood each other and we had a fruitful session.
