'Mama Taraba' as she is fondly called is one woman in Nigeria who has fought courageously to break the jinx associated with women even in a conservative society.

With the love and acceptance Mama Taraba still enjoys from the people of the state, it is right to say that the strong woman will not rest on her oars untill she sets the record and emerges the governor of Taraba State and may probably contest for 2023 governorship election in the state.
Although Aisha Jummai Al-Hassan has decamped to United Democratic Party, UDP, and emerged the governorship candidate of the party in the 2019 governorship after she was screened out by APC in the 2019 governorship primaries.
Mama Taraba has since moved to PDP after the governorship election where she contested on the platform of UDP.
Available indicators, have however, shown that Mama Taraba has already started realigning with the bigwigs in PDP and will definitely contest on the platform of PDP to achieve her ambition and set the record as the first female elected governor in Nigeria.
Mama Taraba has learnt more than enough lessons, the cause of her failure at the verge of victory in 2015 and will surely work to avert such a thing in 2023.
Mama Taraba still maintains large followers and political supporters in the state and will capitalise on this and use her established political network to make a return to win the Taraba governorship election in 2023.
