Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku Dickson has assured residents of Takum local government area of the state of 24 hours power supply after the commissioning of the Kashimbila 40MW Power project.

Governor Ishaku stated this in his home town Takum local government area of the state when he visited the town for the first time since his re-election as governor of the state in 2019.

He stressed that with the completion of the Kashimbila hydropower project there will be more power supply in the state.

“Very soon I assure you of a 24 hours power supply when the Kashimbila 40MW power project is commissioned, 10MW will be channelled to Takum, Donga and other nearby communities and there will be uninterrupted power supply,” he explained.

The Governor also noted that his intervention in Takum General hospital has provided quality health services and the treatment of hepatitis which has hitherto affected the people in Takum.

Governor Ishaku who was received by a large number of kinsmen and joyful party supporters also attributed his absence from his home town for a long period to ill health.

” I have wanted to come to spend Christmas with my family in Takum last year but I fell ill and you know none of us can fall sick at any time” he said.

The Governor is also expected to cast his vote at the forthcoming council elections slated for 30th June 2020 in his home town Takum local government area of the state.
