Taraba Entertainers Blames slow pace of growth to closure of FM, Calls For Reopening Of FM Radio

The homebase entertainers of Taraba state and music lovers have blamed the slow growth pace of entertainment in the state to the closure of FM Radio and has called on Taraba state government to reopen the state FM radio station. Musa Affos Writes

In a bid to boost entertainment in the state and to attract more listeners to the state radio station, home base entertainers have urged the state government to reopen the FM.

This call was made severally by the entertainers on various social media platforms and their media handles and also exclusive interview with Rhapsodi Affos Blog RAB. In a recent chat with some of the entertainers they expressed displeasure over the continuous closure of the FM radio, adding that the FM radio if reponed will go a long way in promoting local contents like Music, DJ mix, Comedy skits, dramas and also attract more listeners and audience.

The entertainers have also urged well meaning Tarabans to support home base entertainment by opening their private radio and TV stations.

They however expressed optimism that the state government led by Arc. Darius Ishaku will consider their cry and reopen the FM.

Recall, the 90.6 FM of Taraba state was closed down sometime in 2012 by the former governor of Taraba state, Late Pharm. Danbaba Suntai and since then it hasn't been functional, though it was later reopened and programs such as  Clapback Wednesday hosted by  KingPayne the Venom was aimed at promoting home based artiste didn't yield much result.
