The leaders of the Jukun ethnic group have apologized over the recent threat to Taraba deputy governor, Haruna Manu. Musa Affos writes.

The president of the Jukun Development Association of Nigeria (JDAN), Mr. Benjamin Bako has on Tuesday apologised for threatening the state deputy governor. Bako made this known when he took to his official Facebook handle to apologise.

Recall, a week ago that Mr. Bako president of JDAN gave 7days ultimatum to governor Darius Ishaku to tour southern Taraba or they pass a vote of no confidence on him, few days later, he Bako later came online and posted that “The Security of the Deputy governor may not be guaranteed if he visits southern Taraba, its Darius, The governor they want to see”.

Rhapsodi Affos Blog also gathered that the statement has generated a lot of mixed reactions from different quarters; while some saw it justifiable, others condemned the statement and thus prompted the apology.

Bako further explained that his statement wasn't as a result of the difference in religion, tribe or region. Bako added that JDAN has observed the deputy both from far and new and he is with no fault.
