Not much about governance is been heard by people outside Taraba and even known within. We used to know that the tag "ghost workers" exist but not noone will expect such practice to be widespread in Taraba state. And people, especially civil servants use this as a means to loot our common wealth.
Your words become your actions, your actions become your habits, your habits become your values - this is my interpretation of DDI's initiatives.
Reports has it that the Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board SUBEB alone, discovered fifty-two million naira (N52m) being paid to ghost primary school teachers, most of which were non-existing in the mentioned schools. If this is gotten from just one point, imagine what is obtainable in many MDAs, ministries and offices.
A survey on 1,560 civil servants was conducted and over 33% were ghost workers, including 10 who were dead but still on pay-roll. How do we have the essential services expected of government, when some individuals and their cronies are beneficiaries of fraud. I call this the wickedness of the highest point against humanity.
Why the government choose to be silent about their dynamic strategies at ameliorating the suffering of hapless indigenes, still baffles me. Hundred of Millions have been discovered in this process, and stopped from being shared by few greedy individuals in the system.
My observation shows that DDI has and is still putting mechanism in place to get the civil service system more effective and devoid of unproductivity.
