The APC & PDP in Taraba have engaged  in battle of words of the call for impeachment of governor Darius by Hassan Ardo.

It could be recalled that few days ago, Nigeria’s high commissioner to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Hassan Ardo has asked the Taraba state House of Assembly to commence impeachment proceedings against Governor Dairus Ishaku.

Ardo accused the Ishaku of violating the constitution, misappropriation of funds and incompetence. But in a swift reply,  the People’s Democratic Party has fired back, saying the governor shouldn’t be distracted by a joke taken too far by a party still mourning huge losses it suffered in the last election.

Rhapsodi Affos Blog (RAB), gathered that its barely 5 months into the governor's second tenure but both the APC & PDP have engaged in a battle of winning public favour & concern.

While the opposition party in the state, All Progressives Congress says the time is up for the governor, but the PDP disagrees, describing the allegation as baseless and urges the governor not to be distracted as development awaits the state.

PDP argued that the governor is yet to commit any impeachable offence.


  • In a similar development, RAB gathered that the speaker of Taraba state house of assembly, Rt. Hon. Peter Diah has debunked the rumour spreading around that he and his colleagues are planning to impeach the governor. Diah insisted that the governor is not impeachable.
