The executive governor of Taraba state, Arch. Darius Ishaku on Tuesday said at the end of his administration many lives will be positively affected as a rersult of enviable legacy he will leave.

Gov. Ishaku made this statement when the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Taraba State chapter and the Muslim Council today paid him a courtesy visit at his Government House Office, Jalingo.

In his remarks,the governor appreciated the CAN and Muslim council for finding time to come to felicitate and to pray for him.The Governor used the occasion to appreciate the entire people of Taraba for believing in him and for re-electing him with a wide margin of votes. He said he will not relent in his effort to take the state out of poverty and called on the people to support efforts of government to ensure peace in the state.


He said the devil was always going round looking for people to use in distablizing the state but the prayers of the People have always frustrated such evil plots. He acknowledged that there are challenges but said he was hopeful that they would be overcome.

The CAN Chairman, speaking said the visit was to felicitate with his Excellency on his victory at the Tribunal and for them to pray for him for God's grace in the discharge of his duties. Rev Jirapye, CAN chairman said God had chosen Ishaku to lead Taraba, therefore, no man can take a position against what God has done.

The Chairman Muslims Council also spoke saying as religious leaders they only pray for leaders and urged Tarabans to accept and support the decision that Allah has made concerning Gov Ishaku.
