At least six people lost their lives while 17 others sustained varying degrees of injury when the driver of an articulated vehicle lost control, and the vehicle eventually fell into a ditch in Gombe on Tuesday.
The driver, Azeez Muftau, blamed the accident on brake failure and the rough terrain of the Doma Bridge area located at the Gombe bypass.
