Professor Abubakar Kundiri Bags Excellence Merit Award






The Vice Chancellor, Federal University Wukari Taraba State Professor Abubakar Musa Kundiri has been conferred with Excellence Award of Merit by National Council of Women Societies (NCWSN) Taraba State Chapter.

Presenting the Award to the Professor Kundiri during a Courtesy Call held at the Senate Chambers of the University,  the President of National Council of Women Societies of Nigeria (NCWSN),  Mrs. Punariman Daniel Atenji said the Award is conferred to Kundiri in consideration of his Excellence Academic Achievements,  Gigantic Contributions, Innovative Ideas and Commitment towards improving Infrastructural Projects and Academic Programmes in the University.

Receiving the Award of Excellence,  Professor Abubakar Musa Kundiri,  thanked the NCWSN Taraba State for the Award and reaffirmed them of his readiness to continue to translate his vision for development, growth and academic excellence in the University. 

Kundiri further informed them that Wukari Community gave him a befitting reception when he came to take over as the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Wukari. He said in his reign as the Vice Chancellor all Courses of the University are fully accredited and faculties of Medicine, Law,  Engineering and Education have been approved by the National University Commission. He also informed them that Center for Peace and Conflict Resolution will soon be established in partnership with Abdusalaam Abubakar Foundation,  T. Y Danjuma Foundation and Center for Peace Initiative of the United States of America.

The Courtesy call was attended by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, Rev. Father Anthony Nature, Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics,  Professor Chibiya Shinggu (Mrs),  Mr. Thomas Gangumi, the Registrar among other top Management Staff, Academics and Non-academics Staff.
The President and Officials of NSWCN went round with the Director of Works and Housing to inspect some ongoing projects in the University.
