According to a Lagos Business School Source, Nigerians consume over #60 billion Naira worth of juice annually by recent findings.

Juice are consumed daily in homes, hotels, offices, business meetings, market places, wedding ceremonies and Church programs in large quantities.

Juice also comes in a variety of packages; Some are in bottles, paper packs and plastic containers to meet the needs of consumers at different prices. This translates to the idea that juice alone can beat oil (fuel) when properly harnessed and expressed for income.

There is a place in Australia known as Riverina. It makes a turn over of $2 billion dollars annually from orange juice production only. That is about #800 billion Naira at today's exchange rates.

Taraba has enormous fertile land that grow different types of fruits that can be converted into juice production for massive economic growth in revenue generation.

As it stands Apples and Grapes with high medicinal value are grown in Sardauna LGA. With a Juice Processing plant there Taraba State will employ youths and generate wealth leading to development and patronage by all and investors.

The best Bananas thrive in Takum, Ussa, Ibi, Wukari, Kurmi, Donga, Bali and Sardauna. Its juice can be consumed by all and even diabetic patients too.

Kurmi, Wukari, Takum, and Donga produces citrus fruits, oranges and Guavas which can be a source for Mixed Fruit juice and serve as a money making machine.

From fruit juice alone Taraba State can generate #5 billion from local sales and close to #20 billion from export in one year.

It might be a long term venture but it is worth doing to preserve the future,  empower human capital i.e create jobs and facilitate development for our people.
