Taraba has all the potentials to compete favorably with any state in Nigeria when all the natural and human capital resources are engaged into productive and marketable uses.

The gold, diamond and silver in Zing, Lau and Yorro, the methane in Jalingo and Lau. The precious stones and Game reserve in Sardauna and Gashaka. The bitumen, cocoa and rosewood in Kurmi and Bali. The limestones, quatzite and carbon coals of Ardo-Kola and Gassol. The deep river resources of Wukari, Donga, Karim-Lamido and Ibbi. Takum and Ussa are not left out! They are naturally endowed.

No place in Nigeria can compete in fields fertile for Rice production and for a Rice city with standard Ricemills like Karim, Lau and Ibbi to mention a few.

Kurmi, Bali, Takum and Ussa can serve as a hub for fruit juice factories for their vast landmass and fertility for orchardery and plantations.

Groundnut is a major cash crop for international export and can be grown in all parts of Taraba in commercial quantities.
Oils and Groundnut cakes are monies awaiting exploitation if produced in large quantities.

Standard mills for maize, millet, and sorghum will create jobs and boost agro-processing activities.

Processing plants for yams, cassava and potatoes can enhance economic viability in Pharmaceutical, scientific and agricultural businesses.

Government may have no business in business but the enabling environment will in many increase the Internally Generating Revenue (IGR).

Tomatoes in sachet, tins or served fresh is another source of economic income. When the moribund tomatoes factory is revived and comes upstream with the products of the GreenHouse innovative hub Taraba State will not only become a hub for doing business but a destination center for tourists.

Once the economy flourishes, tourism potentials can be harnessed in no small measure. The historic signature rocks, waterfalls and serene landscapes of Gembu, Zing, Jalingo, Yorro, Lau and Gumti are just enough to encourage patronage and to woo foreign investors.

Taraba State is a great field of countless human and natural endowments which can be converted into vast infrastuctural and economic opportunities.

I am confident that with the right reasons we are in the right season for an economic revolution in Taraba State. Peace
