One shot as unknown Gunmen kidnap wife of Taraba NLC Chairman, neighbour.

Jalingo - One person have be been shot as the wife of Taraba state chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Abigail Peter is abducted by unknown gunmen.

RAB Team gathered that Mrs. Abigail was abducted at the early hours of Thursday after gun wielding men stormed her residence and starting shooting sporadically to scare neighbours.

Her husband, comrade Peter Gambo,  NLC Chairman confirmed the incident. He also  said he has made a written submission to the police on the incident.

He however added that the kidnappers are yet to make any demands.

In the same development, Emeka Okoronkwo, a neighbour to the NLC Chairman was also kidnapped. In the process of abducting Okoronkwo, the gunmen shot his gateman in the leg.

The wounded victim is currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre Jalingo.
The state Police command is however yet to confirm the incident.
