No fewer than 302 suspects have been arrested by the police in Bauchi State for alleged criminal activities.

Spokesman for the force in the state , DSP Kamal Abubakar, who paraded some of the suspects on Saturday , said they had arraigned 192 of the suspects , with 110 still being investigated .

He added that 441 rounds of ammunition , 179 cutlasses, knives , diggers and swords were recovered from them .

Abubakar said , “At about 10 .30 pm on June 13 , 2019, following credible intelligence , a raid on blackspots was conducted at Gwallameji area of Bauchi where two local codeine producers were arrested at Las Pasca lodge .”

He listed suspects as Emmanuel Patrick and Victor Onugwu.
He said exhibits recovered from them included 71 bottles of locally produced codeine , 30 bottles of tutolin and one carton of ORS used for codeine production . The spokesman said the Tactical Team of Operation Puff Adder arrested five suspects for alleged cattle rustling .

He said 24 of the rustled cows were recovered and released to the owners .
