12 killed in Taraba villages 

 No fewer than 12 people were said to have been killed in fresh crises at Tsondi and Ayu in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State at the weekend.

At Tsondi, six people, including an elderly woman, were killed by suspected Tiv militia who were said to have invade the village at dawn and shot at people.

 It was gathered that the attackers came from neighbouring Benue village, burning many houses. In a related development, six suspected militia were killed while vandalizing a church and looting at Ayu.

The Tiv in the community were alleged to have killed and chased away the invading militia who looted and vandalized a church in the area.

 The president of the Tiv cultural association in the state, Goodman Dahida, told Daily Trust that the militia had also attacked several other Tiv communities, vandalized churches and catered away property worth millions of naira.

 Contacted, the spokesman of the state command, David Misal, said he was not informed about the two incidents.
