A total of 49 suspected kidnappers have been paraded by men of the police force  in Taraba state.

While parading the suspects,
Alkasim Sanusi, the state’s Commissioner of police made this known to journalists at the command headquarters in Jalingo on Wednesday.

Sanusi said the arrest followed the launching of ‘Operation Forest Storm’ which is an initiative of the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.

The police commissioner stated that nine out of the suspects were arrested on motorcycles with AK47 each.

He said two others were also arrested while trying to collect N20million ransom, adding that the suspects were arrested across the state.

CP Sanusi appealed to members of the public for information on the criminal elements in the state.

The commissioner also expressed appreciation to Taraba state government and other security agencies for supporting the police in its efforts to address cases of kidnapping in the state.
