Policeman, two others in killed in fresh Taraba attack |
News reaching Rhapsodi Affos Blog has it that unknown gunmen on Monday killed a police officer and two others in separate attacks in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State.
The Taraba State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP David Misal, confirmed the killing of the two persons on the farm, but said he had not received the report of the ambush on police officers in the area yet.

Dr Daniel Adi, The Caretaker Chairman of Wukari LGA, also confirmed this development. Adi said a man and his son were killed on their farm near the General Hospital, Wukari, while a police officer was killed in an ambush near Vaasealong, a community in Taraba/Benue border.
“Mr Sale and his son were killed on their farm this morning while a mobile police officer was killed in an ambush near Vaase.
“The police were on a normal patrol in the area and were ambushed on their way back to Wukari. One officer was killed while two others sustained varying degrees of injury and their vehicle was destroyed by the attackers.
“We have evaluated the victims and the survivors are receiving treatment at the Wukari General Hospital,” he added.
