The Taraba State government has reiterated its commitment to provide quality health care delivery system to the people.
The state Commissioner for Information, Mr Simon Dogari, who announced this in Jalingo said the state government, under its health care programme, has rehabilitated Gembu, Bambur, Wukari and Takum General Hospitals.

Mr Dogari also said government had purchased health and installed equipment in all the general hospitals across the 16 local government areas.
He said with provision of basic health facilities quality health care services is now being provided to people in the state.

The Commissioner  also disclosed that the state has achieved 99 per cent success in the immunization programme against six child killer  diseases .
He said the government was always prompt in the payment of counterpart funds, which he said was responsible for the success recorded in immunization and other related services.

On roads construction, the commissioner disclosed that more areas in Jalingo the state capital were opened up which enable residents to have easy movement.
According to him a number of roads were constructed in Magami, Mechanic village and Mile Six areas all in the state capital.
He said the state government will construct more roads and drainages in Jalingo and other urban centres this year.
Mr Simon Dogari also said work on Maraban Pantisawa_ Pantisawa road was in progress adding that the construction of Pantisawa and other roads in the rural areas was part of the government’s initiative to open up rural areas to enable rural communities have easy access to other parts of the state.

He said construction of more rural and urban roads will be embarked by the government adding that adequate budget provision was made in this year’s budget for that.

The commissioner therefore urged people to continue to support the government and ensure they live peacefully with one another.
