The elections tribunal constituted by the president court of appeal Hon . Justice Z A. Bukachuwa to treat petitions against the just concluded elections in Taraba state has been relocated to sit in Abuja .

The three man tribunal has already commence siting at Magistrate Court Mile Six in Jalingo Taraba state capital since after the elections in the state .

The secretary of the tribunal Julde Abdulsalam while answering questions from Leadership Newspaper in Jalingo said the relocation of the tribunal from Jalingo to Abuja was base on the security of the tribunal members and the petitioners .

Julde lamented the current security situation in Jalingo which he insisted that was not healthy to allow members of the tribunal to conduct sittings in an open court like that of the Magistrate Court at Mile Six .
“ In a press notice sign by the secretary of the tribunal Julde Abdulsalam which was pasted at the office of the Chief Judge of Taraba state without stating reasons for the relocation of the tribunal , the notice therefore call on the general public to contact the secretary for further details .
Leadership gathered that at the time of the relocation , the tribunal received three senatorial cases across the three senatorial zones of the state , four cases of house of representatives while no case was filed against the governorship election .

It will be recall that Hon. Justice Z. A . Bulkachuwa , the President Court of Appeal of Nigeria on 5 th March constituted an Election Petition Tribunal for elections petitions across the states that conducted general elections about two weeks ago .
