Jalingo- The people Democratic Party, PDP has replied the All Progressive Congress APC who accused Taraba staye governor of masterminding the attack on Alhaji Sani Danladi's convoy.

It was gathered that the convoy of the APC governorship candidate was attacked on 17 January 2018 at Wukari LG while they were heading for their campaign at Ibbi LG which was supposed to hold the next day.
Below is PDP's reply

"It has come to our notice that the APC are Peddling false reports concerning the sad incidence that occurred yesterday when the APC gubernatorial candidate Alh Abubakar Sani Danladi's Convoy was attacked in Wukari on its way to Ibi. It is indeed very sad that the team APC are set of people who train their supporters on a do or die politics and this has not been going down well with them and the supporters as well.

 Reports are been carried around that the Governor had Instructed Alh Bello Yero permanent Secretary Bureau For local government and chieftaincy affairs to stay over in Wukari after his visit a day before to work out modalities with the people on how to carry out the act. In the first instance I will want us to Know that Alh Bello Yero did not traveled with the Governor on that said day as claimed by the APC and was never in Wukari as also claimed by some quarters.

 It may interest us to know that Bello doesn't travel in the Governor's convoy except on an official assignment and wouldn't have had the chance to be part of any ill act. Yero as widely known is a man who champions every act of peace bringing especially the youths together and also condemns every iota similar to that of violence. We urge the APC to let the gentle man who saw a government embodied with peace and decided to support her course be because their blind whips has ended up on the faces of their wicked self's

 Sani Abubakar left Jalingo for ibi on Thurday the 17th through Wukari where on his arrival to Wukari trouble began. Before I go further I will want to clear the air on the aspect where insinuations are been carried around that the Governor was in Wukari a day before the unfortunate incidence. Yes Governor Ishaku was in Wukari where he met his counterpart Governor of Benue state Othom Samuel and the purpose of their meeting was to unveil a Model book for the jukun Tiv relationship in other words to foster peace and harmony amongst the people. so for any one to insinuate that the Governor is in the know for the masterminding of this act is not only devilish but also misleading and unforgivable.

 The Governor did not even know that Sani was going to flag off his campaign anywhere not to talk of knowing his trip to Wukari. So I condemn in strong terms those aligning the Governor to this unholy act and call on them to desist from using words to incite the public against a government that has preached and worked tirelessly for peace for over three and half years.

 Let me say that the APC are not far from the know of masterminding and carrying out the act that took place yesterday in Wukari why because the mode at which the so call attack was carried out showed that there was a pre-prepared knowledge on how to advert beings.

 We have it on good records that Sani had tried very hard to meet the president but to no avail hereby resulting to creating a scene that may attract sympathy from the National body of APC so that he would be invited to meet Mr president and  also to Militise Wukari until elections comes so as to break the bulk votes that is been controlled by PDP, but thank God for the swift action taken by Mr Governor

 Check,There were no roadblocks to hinder cars which no doubt are faster than legs but cars were stopped people dropped before the cars set ablaze, also bullets were able shot at the cars while no one got shot, and also it was done close to a division. This calls for questioning and for proper investigations which I'm sure is going on as we speak.

 We on this note call on the APC  to stop politics of violence and stop inflicting pains on innocent citizens because several life's has been lost so far in the name of campaign under the Sani led APC in the state. We shall not allow anyone to truncate the peace efforts already established by the Governor and anyone found guilty of such act will not go unpunished ."
