Two suspects have been arrested for the murder of one Ahmad Muhammad over a disagreement , the Bauchi Police Command has said .
The Public Relations Officer of the state command, Kamal Abubabakar , disclosed this while parading the two suspects along with other armed robbery suspects in Bauchi.
He said the deceased had a disagreement with one Nasiru Tanimu , which led to a fight and eventual death of Muhammad.
He said , “On October 6 , 2018, at about 8 .30 pm , one Muhammad Lumo of Bununu ward in Tafawa Balewa reported at the Bununu Police Division that on the same date at about 8 pm , his nephew , one Ahmad Muhammad ( now deceased ) , of the same address had a misunderstanding with one Nasiru Tanimu .
“As a result, a fight ensued between them , and Nasiru Tanimu collected a knife from one Harissu Samaila and stabbed the said Ahmad Muhammad on the stomach .
“As a result, he sustained fatal injuries and was rushed to the Primary Health Care Centre, Bununu, and later referred to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital , Bauchi, but died while on admission .”
Abubabakar , who is a Deputy Superintendent of Police , said that following an intelligence report received by the command on the activities of a notorious armed robbery syndicate that had been terrorising innocent members of the public , on September 24 , 2018 at about 6 pm , the police arrested six suspects , including three teenagers, in connection with a series of armed robbery cases in Bauchi metropolis .
