Mubi Zone Councilors Forum has endorsed the senator representing Adamawa north senatorial district, Senator Binta Masi Garba for a second term, for what they portray as the senator’s ability, effective and dedicated service to her constituency.
The Coordinator, Hon. Ibrahim Usman Chitta said Binta's performance at the red chamber has supplanted her predecessors, saying that with her good representation, every good turn deserves another.
Ibrahim commended Senator Binta for her leadership style, making herself accessible to her constituents in addition to the support given to Youth in gaining employments, Women empowerment, construction/renovations of schools, and construction of water sources (dam and boreholes) across the five local governments; Madagali, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South and Maiha of her senatorial district .
The Councilors highlight about Binta's input in the 2017/2018 budgets which they said will bring a lot of developments to the area after the damages caused by the Boko Haram insurgents in the zone when implemented, calling on the people of Adamawa North Senatorial District to give her a second term to consolidate on her achievements.
According to the Councilors, her empowerment programmes has touched numerous lives in the senatorial district which they said has made majority to become financially independent.
“We have watched with kin interest the activities of the senator since she resumed at the red chamber. We are satisfied with her outstanding performance so far and we hereby declare our total support on her to seek for second term so as to consolidate on her present gains.
“She has empowered our youths and women. Some of them are now self reliant. We believe that as a ranking Senator with more powers and better familiarization, she will do more. We are appealing to the people of Adamawa Northern senatorial district to support her to achieve this height.
The Councilors however warned the people of the consequences of changing a Winning team, adding that the people will get more of the dividends of democracy if the senator is allowed to get a second term.
“It is high time the people of Adamawa north senatorial district produce a ranking senator that will be able to attract more dividends of democracy to our people,” the Councilors solicited.
