The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Taraba state says it has adopted the indirect primaries in choosing candidates that will represent the party in the 2019 elections.
Taraba APC Adopts Indirect Primary
Chairman of the party in Taraba state Abdulmumuni Vaki made this known in Jalingo, the Taraba state capital.

Following the decision by the National Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress's (APC) to allow state chapters decide how candidates of the party will emerge for the 2019 elections, chairman of the party in Taraba state, Abdulmumuni Vaki said the state executive committee of the party has adopted the indirect primary in selecting candidates for next year's general elections.

The state APC Chairman said the indirect primary system proved successful for the party in the 2015 elections.
He said the indirect primary is safer in Taraba state considering the security challenges faced by most North-East states.
