There was jubilation by civil servants in Taraba State when their June salary was paid without receiving the federal allocation .
LEADERSHIP learnt that some of the workers started receiving credit alert as early as 10am on Thursday 19th / 07 / 2018 .
Some of the workers who expressed their joy and happiness on social media platforms appreciated governor Ishaku for making funds available to pay their salaries .
Also speaking to LEADERSHIP during an exclusive interview yesterday in Jalingo , the Permanent Secretary, Taraba State Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs , Alh . Bello Yero said the gesture by Governor Darius Ishaku was to ease the sufferings of Taraba workers .
He explained that despite the fact that Governor Ishaku assumed office at the time that the nation ’ s economy was in bad shape , his administration has been regular with payment of workers ’ salaries .
“ Governor Ishaku is a person who does not play with payment of salaries . When he assumed office three years ago, he directed the UBA Bank carry out biometric exercise across the sixteen local government areas of the state and the exercise has yielded a positive results ,” he said .
He explained that the administration of Governor Ishaku since assumption of office have improved workers ’ welfare .
LEADERSHIP reports that for more than three times , the Federation Accounts Allocation Committee , FAAC , meeting was deadlocked as state commissioners for finance rejected the revenue put on the table by revenue agencies .
