The inspector General of police Idris Ibrahim has commissioned a mobile base in Takum LG of Taraba state. The base was donated by the Taraba state government under the leadership of His Excellency Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku.
Speaking at the Commissioning His Excellency Enrg Haruna Manu Deputy Govenor Taraba state who represented Governor Darius Ishaku said the Mobile Base was a complimentary efforts towards the efforts of the police in tackling crimes, Manu while thanking the IGP for his support in bringing to an end the unwanted killings described the efforts of the police towards fighting crime in the state and the country at large as comendable and urged them to keep the push hard until the graph of crime is dropped to zero level in the state.
The IGP who was excited over what he saw at the commissioning said he had expected something less than what he saw, describing the base as comfortable for a smooth operations for the police. The IG thanked the Governor for complimenting the efforts of the police saying he is committed in bringing to a hault the crime rate in the state. Idris deployed three squadron sqaurds immediately to the base and distributed them into the states for immediate action. Also a helicopter was released to the state for 24 hours survilance and operations
