BIRTH
Emmanuel Bello was born on the 15th day of September, 1970 to a Taraba father, Mr. Bello Musa from Bibi, Bete ward of Takum local government and an Edo state mother. The two met when Mr. Bello was teaching at St. MARY's Primary school, Wukari and mama was a popular photographer in the same town. Mama had come to Wukari before the civil war to pursue her photography career.
SCHOOL LIFE
Emmanuel Bello started school at Ebenezer Primary School, Wukari but was to change schools to St Mary's primary school, Wukari on his father's instruction since he is a stauch catholic. Ebenezer was largely seen as a protestant school back then. Emmanuel Bello obtained his first school leaving certificate in 1982.
He attended MGSS (Marmara Government Secondary School) Wukari and later finished off at Government Day Secondary School, Wukari. At MGSS, he was the Library prefect- a testimonial to his love for learning and reading.
He then went to the College of Preliminary Studies (CPS Yola) in 1988, to obtain his "A" level (IJMB). This then catapulted him to study History and Political Science at the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, leaving in 1994.
He obtained a Post Graduate Diploma from the International Institute of Journalsm
He had his NYSC in Yauri, Kebbi state where he served at the local govt secretariat.
WORK LIFE
EB started his work life as a teacher in Minna at a private school owned by late First Lady Dr. Maryam Babangida called El Amin International School. He taught for 6 years there before moving to Abuja to continue teaching at Nurul Bayan International School. He left there for his stint as a banker before delving into the world of journalism where he spent most of work life.
JOURNALISM JOURNEY
Starting off at DAILY TRUST NEWSPAPER as a reporter, Emmanuel Bello was to climb up the ropes in journalism that saw him editing papers, writing columns, commenting on national television and eventually owning his own online newspaper.
*After becoming Political Editor in Daily Trust EB moved on to become Editor LEADERSHIP NEWSPAPERS. (He was to eventually become the paper's Editor in Chief)
* After Leadership, he moved to THISDAY NEWSPAPER first as Assistant Editor and later elevated as Editor (Nation's Capital )
* EB was a backpage columnist with the SUN newspapers

*Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to Governor Danbaba Suntai (2010-2011)
*Commisioner of Information, Culture and Tourism (2011) in the Suntai administration

*Senior Special Assistant, Public Affairs to Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku (2016-date)

EB published and launched a bestseller book titled "Suntai: betrayers, Loyalists and the Media war"
FAMILY LIFE
EB is married with a daughter.
SKILLS AND HOBBIES
EB is a fine artist who draws for pleasure and leisure. He loves poetry and good writing. A communication ethusiast, Bello loves political commentaries and social engagements. He believes in friendship as the best form of engagement in society. Above all, he loves to travel, read, write and connect with people.
