The Amalgamated Federation Of Domesticated and Wild Monkeys has
denied involvement in the swallowing of N70m belonging to the Northern
SINators Forum (NSF).
Addressing journalists in Lafia, Nasarawa state, President of the
Federation, Monkesius Adamunius said that after a thorough
investigation of its members, none was found to have swallows the
N70m.
According to him, every member of the Federation has been taken
through and MRI scan to determine if the actually swallowed such
amount without knowledge of the leadership of the group.
He said after thorough examination no member was found liable adding
that it plans to take up an action for criminal defamation against those
who accused them of such wrongdoing.
"We are convinced this is the handiwork of our political enemies and
detractors who uncomfortable with the rising profile of some of our
members. We Won't allow it to happen. We will seek legal redress and
bring this era of blaming our members for swallowing N70m to an end.
Everyone knows that we don't swallow things. We chew them",
Adamunius said.
