During the convocation of Taraba State University (Tsu) Former minister of defense Gen. TY Danjuma said "Theres a tribal cleansing and that the military are bias,  he however urge Tarabians to stand up and defend themselves, hence the military cant defend everyone at the same time.

Since he made the statement alot of people have actually misquoted the General's statement and some quoted him out of context which resulted in many replies and messages from different individuals and groups.

it could be recalled that during the Boko Haram crisis, Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi also made the same statement , while speaking at a prayer meeting on Saturday, November 15 2014.

Below were his words

 "acquire what you need" to protect yourselves from terrorist attacks carried out by the sect".

 “These people when they attack towns, they kill boys and enslave girls… People must stand resolute.”
“People must not assume that the crisis will not reach their area. If it comes, we are asking God to give us fortitude, but if He wishes take martyrs from amongst us, we should be ready to give our lives,”.

The emir said this during a prayer meeting but nobody said anything and no one kicked against it, nobody called him names. I begin to wonder is that there's a special interest in Taraba or TY Danjuma himself.

TY Danjuma neither spoke in a missionary school nor an Islamic school, he didn't say it while in church or a mosque.  he said it  at Taraba State University's convocation,  which compromises of students ranging from different religion and tribes,  different beliefs and background. which means he was saying it to all Tarabans and Nigerians  at large.

Defending oneself is neither religious sensitive nor tribal sensitive.
For an elder statesman and also a former minister of defense to say such,  then he knows what he had seen and what he foresaw.
My problem is for those of you going head over hills about his statement,  I have a question for you :
Do you plan attacking anybody or have you been the ones attacking people?
When has self defense become a crime.
If no,  why then are you so much bothered,  so you expect defendless citizens to be slaughtered and killed on daily basis while the government remains mute?
So if someone comes to attack you and you have the means to defend yourself,  you shouldn't??
