In view of the rot and neglect of secondary schools , the Taraba State Chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS) , has called for the establishment of a Teaching Service Commission.
Speaking at the World Teachers Day (WTD ) ceremony , the ASUSS State Chairman, Prince Sule Abasu , said it would herald the much - needed development and accelerate the country ’s education sector.
For parents to conveniently send their children and ward to good public schools without fear of discrimination, ASUSS, he said demands a humane educational atmosphere where there is no ceiling on academic prosperity .
Identifying promotion as one of the key factors that encourage teachers to put in their best , he admonished the state government to help in promoting secondary school teachers when due .
