JOS (Sundiata Post) – The All Progressive Congress (APC) committee on restructuring for the North Central zone will hold public hearing in Jos on Thursday.
A statement signed by APC Chairman,
Playeau State, Hon. Latep Dabang, said delegates will come from all the states in the zone.
The statement said, “Following the initiative and on-going public hearings on True Federalism or Restructuring by the All Progressives Congress (APC) Special Committee, nationwide, the North Central Geo-Political Zone Meeting for Benue, Plateau and Nasarawa States holds in Jos on Thursday, 28th September 2017.
“In line with our Party Manifesto and campaign promises, we are expected to mobilize, make an appearance and present position papers on True Federalism or Restructuring in the light of some critical issues outlined in widely circulated advertorials in national dailies, namely, Creation/Merger of States, Derivation Principle, Devolution of Powers, Federating Units, Power Sharing & Rotation, Fiscal Federation/Revenue Allocation, Form of Government, Independent Candidacy, Land Tenure System, Local Government Autonomy, Power Sharing And Rotation, Resource Control, Type of Legislature, among others.
The statement invited General Public, Stakeholders, Youth and Elder Statesmen are cordially invited to the one-day Zonal Public Hearing.
