Acting president, Prof.
Yemi Osinbajo is expected to
commission the multi billion
naira Taraba Agro Green House
project and the dualised Jalingo –
Kona road on August 10.
This is contained in a press
statement signed by the chief
press secretary to the governor
of Taraba State, Mr. Hassan
Mijinyawa, and made available
to journalists in Jalingo.
According to the statement, the
visit of the acting president will
go a long way in assuring the
people of the state of how dear
the federal government holds
Taraba.
It added that the visit would
also help in showcasing some
of the projects initiated and
completed by Governor Darius
Ishaku’s administration despite
the lean resources accrued to the
state.
“The projects to be
commissioned are in fulfilment of
governor Ishaku’s administration
drive to create jobs, boost revenue
and expand the state’s road
network for easy commuting of
persons and farm produce for
accelerated development.
“Governor Ishaku enjoined
Tarabans from all walks of life
to come out enmass during the
visit to give the August visitor
a rousing welcome to the state,”
part of the statement read.
Meanwhile, the Taraba State
Police command has said it
had concluded all security
arrangements and working with
other agencies to ensure a hitchfree
visit of the acting president.
The command’s spokesman,
ASP David Misal, who gave the
assurance yesterday in Jalingo,
said the command had beefed up
security ahead of the visit.
