His Excellency Executive Governor Taraba state Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku today flagged off the Construction of  Wukari Tsokundi road. The event took place at the Katsina Ala wukari Tsokundi road junction and had in attendance His Excellency the Deputy Gov Enrg Haruna Manu, Speaker Taraba state house of Assembly represented by Member representing Ussa Takum constituency Hon Mark Usseini, members house of Assembly, SSG, Commissioners,Advisers, SSA's Permanent Secretaries, Traditional rulers etc.

The Governor speaking at the event said it gives him joy to return in fulfilling his promise which he made on Feb 21st to the people of wukari. He said he is committed in eradicated poverty and bringing development to the people and that is his focus point. Ishaku said the state has gone into infrastructure and are set to do more, he said this is as a result of the Rescue agenda which is his guide. About a week ago Mararaba pantisawa Lacheke road was flagged off and the construction of that road is unique because the contractors will commence farm upto 30% without pay. He said this one is as unique as the last one flagged off because it will open up food production which makes it unique.

Gov DDI said the road will be constructed with asphalt finish, with Culvert and drainages at the cost of 5.8billion. He urge the contractors to make sure that they carry the youths of the area along, calling on those with specialists around the area to make them selves avail for the speedy completion of the road. The Gov pleaded with the people to try and move to the new market so that they can be space for developing the town and also to enable the town open up Early. He pleaded with them to take heart and move on for the growth and betterment of the state.

Speaking the Commissioner for works Taraba state Hon Tafarki Agbadu thank the Gov for fulfilling this promise saying when he came for the inspection on Feb 21st 2017 all what was in his mind was to see the road constructed. He went ahead by saying even if he dies today he is fulfilled. He ended his words by saying until the coming of Governor Ishaku the troubles of linking neighboring villages has been a case which kept the villagers on daily night mare. The road is a 26 Kilometer road but the Gov has ordered the road be made a 30killometer road.

The contractors handling the construction Wiz China world wide, speaking through there representative said they will deliver the work on scheduled time and also make sure that the quality of the road never compromised. He congratulated the Gov for his up standing achievements in Taraba state and urge Tarabans to support them in bringing out the best in them by giving them Peace.

The Governor also visited the Wukari General Hospital were rapid rehabilitation of the Hospital is ongoing. Ishaku expressed satisfaction at the level of work done, said he was impress and believe the hospital will be one of which will serve as reference hospital after completion and equipping
