The national chairman of the All

appointments made by President
Muhammadu Buhari in the past two
years of his leadership caused tension
within the party.
Oyegun while speaking on the
achievement of the present
administration under the APC said the
reward system of the President Buhari's
administration has not been wonderful.
He however, noted that he is satisfied
with the performance of the current
administration in rebuilding the
Nigerian economy.
“I must be very honest and frank, the
reward system and appointment hasn’t
been as pleasant to the party as it ought
to be, part of them haven’t been well
thought out as it ought to be.
“We have cases which wouldn’t have
happened where individuals who are in
court with our elected officials, one case
a governor which is now at the Supreme
Court has been given appointments,"
Oyegun said.

The national chairman added that the
party has spent part of its two years of
leadership to block loopholes within the
Nigerian system.
He said the many steps taken by the
APC-led government have started
yielding fruits in Nigeria.
“We have cases at least one or two
known current appointees of the PDP
have been given, we have cases where in
a particular state from the same local
government, I think going to the same
ward, three people have been given
appointments and these things and many
more is that we have a lot of cases
where faces not known to the party
during the most difficult part of the
struggle have gotten appointments.
So, it has caused a lot of disquiet within
the party," Oyegun added.
NAIJ.com had reported that APC will not
hold its national convention until
President Buhari returns to Nigeria
from London.
Oyegun said contrary to an agreement
by governors and the APC national
working committee, Osinbajo will not be
allowed the privilege of choosing a date
for the convention.
