Taraba state Governor, Arc. Darius Dickson
Ishaku is felicitating with the entire
Christians and the good people of the state
on the occasion. Of this year’s Easter
celebration.
The Governor’s felicitation massage was
contained in a press release signed by the
Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Iliya Bekyu
Akweh, stating that, Easter is a period of
sober reflection on the suffering of Jesus
Christ who demonstrated love and humility to
save mankind.
The release further states that, the Easter
season is a period of sincere reflection,
spiritual rejuvenation, adherence to Christian
faith and also focuses on alms giving.
He used this season to call on Christians and
the entire people of the state to take
advantage of Easter blessings and come
together by burying their differences and
contribute meaningfully for the development
of the state and to also complement
Government efforts by embracing peace so
that it would be a factor to propelling the
state to greater heights developmentally.
Accordingly, the release encouraged all
Tarabans to work assiduously for the
progress of the state and for our common
good devoid of any form of negativity either
religious, cultural or traditional beliefs as we
celebrate this very important festival.
The release however call on people of the
state to pray fervently to God so that crisis
experienced in the past in some parts of the
state will ultimately give way to agape love
to all the tribes in the state so that
development will thrive significantly.
Furthermore, the Governor prayed for an
unquantifiable wisdom in this season of
Easter to pilot the affairs of state for the
benefit of all and sundry and the will power
to ensure good service delivery to the people
of the state without any form of compromise.
Similarly, the release called on people of the
state to accord the present administration
maximum support and cooperation to
achieve on its set objectives, but however
stated that, though the administration is
faced with lots of challenges, particularly, in
the face of present economic recession,
saying that, efforts are being made to
surmount them and to put our dear state on
a path of rapid development for the common
good of the citizenry.
