In almost about 10 communities of about three LGAs of Taraba state, Fulani herders have taken it upon themselves to spill blood and take away innocent lives with their actions being unchecked by the federal security forces. In Wurolade, Nyaja, Garin Dogo, Maraban Kunini all of Lau LGA; Maraba of Wukari and Tau, Yelwa Tau and its environs all of Ardo-Kola LGA, scores of dead bodies were seen of indigenous farmers who were killed in the past few days. Though in some places the farmers have tried to provide security for themselves but it is still not enough because the Fulani killings have gone unchecked. As at present the number of IDP from the above mentioned areas are in their thousands and it is still getting worse. Eye witnesses say more and more rural settlements are being overrun on daily basis by the Fulani herders turned terrorist. As at filing this report, hundreds of people have been reported missing with their fates unknown.
