A call has gone to both President Mohammadu
Buhari and the leadership of the National Assembly
to discountenance the call and agitation for the
substitution of the ambassadorial nominee from
Taraba state, Alhaji Mustapha Jaji.
Briefing journalists in Jalingo, the state capital, the
group who came under the auspice of President
Mohammadu Buhari like minds support group,
expressed disappointment at the ongoing call and
agitation for the immediate substitute of Jaji, as the
ambassadorial nominee from the state.
Flanked by it executive, the state coordinator of the
group, Alhaji Ya’u Samaila, pleaded with the
President and the National Assembly, to disregard
such calls stressing that “we know that Alhaji
Mustapha Jaji has the capacity and the qualification
to occupy the position.”
“Judging by his track records of prudence and
accountability which he exhibited when he was
Executive Secretary for Education Trust Fund (ETF)
the group believed that Jaji is the “most appropriate
and suitable candidate as nominated by the APC
administration for the ambassadorial position from
Taraba state.”
The group who went ahead to cast auspicious on a
group of individuals from the party (APC) who have
being calling for the substitution of Jaji on the
ground that he is not a card carrying member of
APC, argued that the ambassadorial nominee in
question is “a stakeholder in APC just like several
others who recently decamped from the new PDP
to APC.”
Vowing to tread all legitimate paths to halt the
agitators of his substitution from succeeding, the
group drummed that Jaji “is an indigene of Taraba
state, an astute politician and above all, a major
political stakeholder in the state.”
Taking steps further commend the President for
securing the released of some of the adopted
Chibok girls, said Buhari like minds support group
in the state will continue to work round the clock to
canvass support for the President within and
outside the state.
They admonished persons or groups trying to
thwart the efforts of the President on his war
against corrupt practices to as a matter of urgency
begin to seek for alternative countries of abode, as
the group and large numbers of Nigerians would
not leave any stone unturned in ensuring that the
dreams of the President for the country sees the
light of the day.
