The Speaker, House of Representative, Hon
Yakubu Dogara has said that Adamawa
State governor, Senator Muhammad Umar
Jibrilla Bindow is redefining development
in the State.
Dogara made the remark on Saturday
night at the Tozali Magazine Henna Ball
and People’s Award 2016 at the
International Conference Centre, Abuja.
The Speaker, who was the chairman of the
occassion, expressed satisfaction with
achievement of Governor Bindow in office
so far.
He further commended the governor for
doing extremely well to the satisfaction of
the majority of the people of the State in
spite of the meagre resources accrued to
the State.
“Governor Bindow and his deputy, Hon
Martins Babale are two people who are
very familiar with good governance having
left the National Assembly as Senator and
Rep member respectively to jointly contest
the guber race in the State”.
” The infrastructural development and
laudable projects in Adamawa State today
is a clear testimony of Governor Bindow’s
vision and innovation”.
Dogara assured that such an award and
recognition by Tozali magazine will spur
Governor Bindow to continue his
progressive work in Adamawa State.
The Lawmaker then thanked the organisers
of the event for giving him the opportunity
to chair such an important event, “I am
honoured to chair such an event that is a
big symbol of hardwork and good
entrepreneurship”.
” I am extremely happy to be here for two
reasons. Firstly, this event showcases the
positive work of a great entrepreneur in
Maimuna Abubakar. Entrepreneurship is a
neccessary tool for development of Nigeria
especially with the current economic
challenges”.
“Secondly, the proceeds from this
gathering will be used to support the girl
child education in the Northeast, where I
come from and the Internally Displaced
People in the region”.
He congratulated all the award recipients
and charged them to continue the good
work that has fetched them this important
award and recognition.
Governor Bindow was given the governor
of the year award 2016 and was
represented by his deputy, Hon Martins
Babale at the event.
