commended
Taraba
women for
turning out
to celebrate
her for
attaining an additional year in life.
The wife of the Governor who gave this
commendation yesterday during a dinner party
held in her honour at the Presidential Lodge
Jalingo, stated that, for turning out in their
numbers to honour her, God will also honour
them, adding that, she intends having a proper
celebration next year when she will be clocking 60
years as this celebration is a function of plea by
her aides and associates to celebrate no matter
how small.
Barr. Anna Ishaku said it is a thing of joy for her to
reveal her age unlike most women who conceal
theirs as her years are a reflection of God’s grace
and faithfulness in her life.
She further used the opportunity to urge the
women to be at alert as soon, she will be calling on
them for talks on how to map out strategies to
tackle some challenges facing the State.
Speaking earlier, Commissioner for Women Affairs
and Child Development, Hon. Loise Emmanuel
applauded her Excellency for carrying out the Bible
injunction that talks about numbering our days so
we can apply our hearts to wisdom.
She also prayed God to bless the Governor’s wife
with long life, sound health, grace, wisdom,
promotion and otherwise.
Also speaking on behalf of Hope Afresh Fondation
Taraba, the Administrative officer, Barr.
Nungrimam Dashe who described their Principal
as a role model and an Icon, pledged their total
support in helping her chart a way forward in
rebuilding the State.
Various women also took turns to pray and wish
her Excellency the best as she celebrates her new
age.
Wife of the Deputy Governor, Wives of House of
Assembly members, Wives of Commissioners,
Wives of Caretaker-Chairmen as well as various
Women groups were among those who graced the
occasion.
