It is not a misnomer to aver that Sen. Kwankwaso single handedly brought Ganduje to limelight. Little or nothing was known about the man Ganduje until Kwankwaso made him his deputy of many years.

While serving as Kwankwaso’s deputy, Ganduje was widely adjudged as lacking the wherewithal and charisma to gather crowds of party supporters. He was tagged the ‘sleeping deputy’.
The recent
discovery that the two are at loggerheads is not only laughable but also preposterous.  Recent events are ladened with enough pointers to this fact.  One begins to wonder where the problem emanates.  However, most feelers are of the belief that Ganduje’s lackadaisical nature coupled with his total disregard to set objectives of the Kwankwasiya movement was responsible for the feud.
Sen. Kwankwaso, widely acknowledged as a pace-setter, expected a continuation of his legacies by the present governor.  The fact that Ganduje was derailing and achieved little or no success in his over eight months at the helm of affairs, may not go down well with the Senator.
It is on record, that Sen. Kwankwaso performed astonishingly well when he was the governor of Kano State.  It is only logical for anyone taking over from him to follow on this path to greatness.  However, Ganduje’s methods and ways are not only disappointing but a disgrace to Kwankwasiya movement.
A recent statement from Kano State APC Chairman was highly regarded as a mere rodomontade, considering the fact that Kwankwaso is still the leader of APC in Kano State.
No doubt, Kwakwaso has the capacity and knowhow to replace Ganduje when the time is ripe.  It is however a wrong move from Ganduje to take on his boss and mentor.  Kwankwaso is still a force to reckon with, not only in Kano, but Nigeria at large.  Some of us see him as the right choice to take over from PMB when the time is ripe.
It is pertinent for Ganduje and his foot soldiers to take a different path and embrace peace with the one who brought them to lighlight.
