Taraba State Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku says
God has a purpose for making him the governor
of the state . He stated this during a church service
at the Jesus Glorious Army Jalingo. The governor
said he abandoned politics in the year 2003 when he
contested for Senatorship and lost because he looked
at politics as a game of deceit.

Ishaku maintained that when he was chosen to be the
governorship candidate from the Southern Zone, he
knew it was the will of God to continue in politics and
to serve the people of the state.

The governor assured the Youth and Women of
Empowerment through the Skill Acquisition
Center which he would start with the women this
week. He said his administration would engage
investors that would give job to the youths. He
solicited for prayers for him to succeed and fulfill his
promises.

In his sermon, Reverend Ben Ubeh admonished
Christians to reflect on God’s wonderful deeds in
sustaining the state and the nation through its
challenges.

Ubeh said any Christian who embraced the culture of
thanksgiving and praise will attract God’s divine
protection and blessing at all times adding that life
without Christ is full of Crises. The Clergyman
called on Governor Darius Ishaku to drop those
who would retard the progress of his
administration and asked God for divine wisdom
to succeed.

Ben Ubeh called on Christians to uphold the
governor in prayers for him to bring development
and job creation in the state.
In conclusion, Prayers were offered for the
governor’s family and the cabinet.
